These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Accounting Zealot, operated by Digital Accounting Zone LLC (“D.A.Z.”). By using the service, you agree to these Terms.
Accounting Zealot is an AI-powered transaction categorization tool for individuals and small business owners. It connects to your bank accounts, categorizes transactions, generates summaries, and exports reports.
Accounting Zealot is not an accounting firm, CPA, or financial advisor. The AI categorization is a tool to assist you, not a substitute for professional accounting or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all categorizations before relying on them for budgeting, submitting them to your CPA, or filing taxes.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and account. One person or business per account.
Accounting Zealot is a paid subscription service. Plans are billed monthly through Stripe. You can cancel anytime from your billing page — your access continues through the end of the billing period.
We may change pricing with 30 days notice. Price changes do not affect your current billing period.
You own your data. We process it solely to provide the service. You can export your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your information.
Do not use the service for any unlawful purpose, attempt to access other users' data, reverse engineer the service, or use automated tools to access the service beyond normal usage.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Accounting Zealot and Digital Accounting Zone LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI categorizations. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming all categorizations before relying on them for tax filing or financial reporting.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect the service. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party providers (Plaid, Stripe, Supabase, or Anthropic).
You can cancel your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
